The Coweta Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office has an immediate opening for an Assistant District Attorney position in our Coweta office. The potential employee will receive State of Georgia benefits including retirement and 401k/457 options. Applicants must be able to appraise, interpret and apply legal principles and precedents to difficult legal problems; concisely and accurately communicate, both orally and in writing; prepare, present, and conduct hearings, trials and appeals; establish and maintain effective working relationships with others and possess a strong sense of personal and community responsibility. Applicants should be a member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia, be a member in good standing with the Bar of another state that is eligible for reciprocity admittance to the Georgia Bar, or awaiting bar results. However, law students graduating in 2024 may apply.

 

Applicants selected for hire will be subject to fingerprinting, a criminal history background check, DMV records, and pre-employment drug screening; Employment is contingent upon the completion and satisfactory results of each screening.
